About the Journal
The Pan African Journal of Health and Islamic Medicine is the official publication of the Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (KAMMP). As the first academic platform emphasizing the integration of Islamic principles with contemporary health sciences., the journal aims to be an international leader in innovative, ethically-driven, and community-oriented health research. Following the guidelines of Islamic ethics, critical inquiry, and professional practice, the Pan African Journal of Health and Islamic Medicine promotes interdisciplinary work across disciplines like medicine, theology, ethics, public health, and education.
The Pan African Journal of Health and Islamic Medicine is published annually and will serve as a resource for Muslims and non-Muslims engaged in healthcare delivery and research, education, and advocacy who are interested in integrating Islamic values with healthcare.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Originality & Integrity: Authors are responsible for ensuring that all works submitted have been completely original, accurately represented and that no part of the manuscript has been plagiarized in any form.

Research Ethics: If your submission involved human or animal subjects in efforts to conduct research, you must include a statement of ethics approval (IRB or the equivalent).

Authorship Criteria: Only persons responsible for substantial contributions to the study design, data analysis, and interpretation, reviewing, drafting/manuscript composition should be listed as authors of the article.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any and all financial or personal relationships that may have a potential bias or may be seen as residual bias.

Acknowledgement of Sources: You must cite any materials, data, or contribution's not owned by the author.

Data Availability: Authors will be asked to provide raw data available for validation.

Duplicate Submission: Manuscripts cannot be submitted to or published in another journal simultaneously.
Editors' Responsibilities

Manuscript Evaluation: Editors will evaluate manuscripts for their academic merit, clarity, relevance, and originality, free of discrimination or bias.

Confidentiality: All information from manuscripts submitted will be kept strictly confidential.

Conflict of Interest: Editors will remove themselves from the decision process if there is any conflict of interest.

Reviewers' Responsibilities

Neutrality: Reviews should be constructive responses, based on evidence and with scholarly merit.

Peer Review Process

Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to seek professional language editing prior to submission to improve clarity and comprehension.
Ethics
All research must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and ICMJE Uniform Requirements. Submissions involving human subjects must include statements of:
